Dars-e-Ikhlaq

Islamic Morals & Ethics

Begins September 15, 2026

16 sessions

2×/week

Course Description

This course aims at self-improvement — elevating oneself through self-control and self-discipline. It features forty traditions from the Prophet Muhammad (s) and the Ahl al-Bayt (a) on topics of ethics and spirituality. Thirty-three of the hadith Imam Khomeini selected pertain to Islamic ethics, including acts which bring reward or punishment. The other seven focus on beliefs and concepts related to the theology of the Twelvers. Imam Khomeini included the traditions that help us elevate our status through intellect (Tafakkur), trust in God (Tawakkul), our natural instinct to seek out God, meeting with God, and fear (Khawf) of Him.
