Introduction
As representatives of Islam in the west. it is imperative that we improve ourselves to be worthy of representing Islam to the world around us. Muslim Congress has initiated the camps program to facilitate this goal. These camps are held year round. The activities are designed to teach the principles of leadership, team building, networking and self building.
Our goal, Insha-Allah, is to enhance the Muslim cause and develop a strong Islamic identity to become effective members of our society. The camps demonstrate the practical aspects of the lives of the Ahlul Bayt (as). The camps include lectures, workshops and recreational activities.
Background and History
Muslim Congress camps have their roots in the local communities. Muslim Congress initially provided these events with partial funding, promotion, and scholars to lead the camps. This work included requirements for campsites, activities, budgets and other logistics. These guidelines have been improved with practical experience. The following resources provide access to those who wish to run a Muslim Congress camp, enroll in an upcoming camps, or view video and photo archives.
