Join the Annual Muslim Congress Science Competition, open to high school and college students ages 15-25. Select one of three exciting projects: assemble an aerial drone, estimate obesity prevalence in your local community, or develop a personal organizer app for Android\/Apple. Compete for cash prizes by showcasing your project at the Annual Muslim Congress in Houston, Texas. Register as an individual or as a team of up to 3 members by October 25, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Drone Assembly<\/strong>: Build and demonstrate a functional drone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Obesity Prevalence<\/strong>: Conduct a community survey and present your findings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Personal Organizer App<\/strong>: Design an original, multi-functional organizer app.

    Project 1: Drone assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please assemble a small Drone at home before the competition using various components.
    Please take pictures\/video demonstrating unassembled components and the steps taken during
    assembly.
    Drone assembly must be by the participants. Adult supervision is permissible.
    Demonstrate your assembled Drone at the annual conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Documentation of assembly by individual or team<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Project 2: Prevalence of Obesity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Estimate prevalence of Obesity in your local Shia community categorized based on age groups and genders<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Please conduct a survey in your local Shia community to estimate prevalence of Obesity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • During competition display results of your study on a poster with following sections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Introduction<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Methodology<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Results<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Conclusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Graphs\/Figures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Project will be judged based on methodology, results and the quality of poster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Project 3:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Develop an Android\/Apple App which works as a personal organizer. Features should include
        calendar ( Gregorian\/Islamic), clock, alarm, salat timings, slots for work, leisure and spiritual
        activities.
        App will be judged based on originality, sophistication and utility of the app.
        Demonstrate app during competition on your androids\/apple device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
